a visit for its own sake. It has
an interesting floating market where
people making transaction from boat
to boat, and nearby of the river
is a land that inhabited by monkeys
and place of Chinese and Bugis origin
to present flower as the presentation
to have a success commerce and fortune.
Traditional
diamond mining on Cempaka village
where people take out the materials
on the ground then panning it on
the pan of wood to find the diamonds.
The other most interesting spot
to visit is Loksado, place for exploring
the rainforest and Dayak Meratus
land, then having the bamboo rafting
as the climax of the trip.

ITINERARY
Day
01 : ARRIVAL IN BANJARMASIN
Meet at airport. Free at own leisure.
Day 02: FLOATING MARKET-TRADITIONAL
DIAMOND MINING-LOKSADO
Early in the morning leave to floating
market to watch people trading boat
to boat, then proceed to Cempaka village
to see traditional diamond mining
and polshing. Next, visiting Pandak
Daun village to see water buffaloes
return to the stall. Afterwards, leaving
to Loksado. Overnight on lodge.(b,l,d)
Day 03 : FULL DAY TREKKING
Transfer to Waja village, then trekking
in Meratus mountain crossing virgin
forest, waterfalls, traditional farms.
Afterwards, proceed to the lodge through
different path passing longhouses,
hanging bridges, rivers, and secondary
forest. Overnight in lodge(b,l,d)
Day 04 : BAMBOO RAFTING-BANJARMASIN
Exploring villagers in making the
bamboo raft, then do the bamboo rafting
across mount Kantawan and tropical
rainforest alongside of Amandit river.
Return to Banjarmasin. Overnight in
hotel.(b,l)
Day
05 : DEPARTURE
Transfer to airport for the next destination.(b)
