Kungkungan Bay Resort (or just KBR to its many fans) is located in the very heart of the Lembeh Strait, giving access to fifty dive sites, all within fifteen minutes of our private jetty. An intimate and exclusive resort, Kungkungan is staffed by a friendly, professional team who will look after your every need from the moment you arrive to the moment you depart.

All rooms are sea facing, with three categories of spacious accommodation to choose from. Our unique over-the-water restaurant inspires visitors with its spectacular views of our exclusive house reef, the Lembeh Strait and the nearby tropical islands.

Learning to Dive

With good visibility, minimal currents and clear water (and superb instructors!) KBR and the Lembeh Straits is an excellent place to learn to dive or enhance your scuba skills. Why not add to the fun of your holiday with a PADI course? Or, if you have never dived before, come and spend a fun couple of hours Discovering Scuba Diving – an introduction to diving which will show you why we all get so excited about it. It’s ideal for the non-diving partner....

Dive Equipment

We have a full range of Aqualung dive equipment for rent. We also have a wide-range of Scubapro full-length wetsuits in various sizes in 3mm and 5mm thickness (we usually recommend 3mm).

Do give us advance warning of rental needs if at all possible. We really hate to disappoint – and a little advance warning helps us plan.

During your stay we are always happy to do all we can to fix leaks, change hoses, sort out minor dive equipment problems, advise on mortgages, tax relief, relationships  – in fact all the sorts of worries and concerns presented to the dive staff by our guests. We offer grief counselling for those who have flooded their camera. And a cool drink to those who are sweating about flooding their cameras. Shoulders to cry on are our specialty.
